(8:28 minute video) Oregon white oaks or Garry oak (Quercus garryana) is an iconic tree of the Willamette Valley and Pacific NW. Its habitat has been reduced 95% by land conversion and changes in land management. This vanishing legacy has biological, cultural, and historic significance. The oaks and their habitat are imperiled and deserves our protection and restoration.
